Skills Workshops and Courses

As from the 6th June 2011, All Awards will be holding; glass, raku, pottery and ceramic skills and hobby workshops. To be held at our Cumbria workshops in Alston.

Workshops for the general public:

Glass decoration and engraving - Using recycled glass (i.e. bottles & jars) to produce decorative and/or functional glass items.

Ceramics - Basic instruction in wheel thrown and hand built pottery, glazing and firing.

Raku Pottery - Raku pottery glazing and firing experience.

Ceramic mug, plate and tile painting – aimed mainly at children.

Glass painting – also aimed mainly at children.

Weekend glass and/or ceramic experience – work on a project over a weekend, stay in a local guest house.

Workshops for groups (i.e. Schools, Scouts, W.I. etc.):

All as above, apart from the 'weekend experience'.

Our aim is to work closely with the local schools and community groups to produce daily workshops that are hands-on, fun and educational.
